THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS
The grinning teeth crack in beautiful emotions,
But, the loudness of the heart sings deep.
The pleasant smiles stretch in jeering lips,
But, the frivolity of the mind sings varyingly,
The smirks of the little fixes and the false freight of little dances,
can make the cheering heart savour the taste of time.
And, the creeks of time sing in crucibles and crosses.
The lavish drooling of the groping hands will last,
When the quest fizzles out,
But, the fanning of little ego can breed giddy tenderness.
The sniffy mind and haughty heart may gloat,
But the vanishing laughter can sing the pains of time.
The creasing linen and glittering bracelets can beam,
But, they cannot buy unlimited, impeccable happiness.
The chubby cheeks and welling dimples can glow,
But, the strains of nerves can bring aching fray.
The thirst of soothing fervour and the grits of river banks may shimmer,
But, the sands will slide and swallow the foot-prints.
The hay days may grow greener and the rains shower freer,
But, the wake of hunger may come and spring in the multitude of idleness.
The search for laughter and happiness,
The rush for antidotes of pains,
The loafing of aimless minds,
The dance of hatred,
The gloating of unbridled hearts,
The pride of satisfaction and profundity of enjoyment,
The time spent watching friends and foes suffer,
The pursuit of lofty hearts should be braced in care and love,
That fill others with kindness,
And lift the whining souls beyond their pressing circumstances.
The pursuit of true happiness is the search for greatness,
The pursuit of timeless happiness is the show of kindness and compassion.
